The short version

This website has no contact form, no login and no shopping basket. It does not ask you for your name, your address or anything else. If you want to get in touch you ring me or send a WhatsApp message, and that conversation is between you and me.

Who I am

Tommy Green Thumb is a sole-trader gardening business operating in Jersey. If you have any question about your information, ring me on 07700 000000 or email hello@tommygreenthumb.je.

What this website collects

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count page views and measure how quickly pages load. These are deliberately cookieless — they set no cookies and do not build a profile of you or follow you to other websites. That is why you have not been shown a cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

The information collected is aggregate and anonymous: which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, the type of device, and page load timings. I cannot identify you from any of it.

When you contact me

If you ring, message or email me, I keep your contact details and notes about your garden so I can quote for the work and carry it out. That is a normal part of doing business together, and I keep it only as long as I need it for our work and for my tax records. I do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a mailing list.

WhatsApp messages are carried by WhatsApp, which is part of Meta and has its own privacy terms. If you would rather not use it, a phone call works just as well.

Photographs of your garden

I like showing before-and-after pictures of work I have done. I will always ask you first, and I will not photograph anything that identifies where you live — no house numbers, no number plates, and no people without their say-so. If you agree and then change your mind, tell me and I will take them down.

Reviews

Any review shown on this site is published with the customer's permission, usually under a first name and an initial. If yours is up there and you would like it removed, just ask.

Who else is involved

The site is hosted by Vercel, and its words and pictures are stored in Sanity, a content management system. Both are service providers acting on my behalf and neither is given your personal information, because the site does not collect any.

Your rights

Under the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 you can ask me what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Ring or email me and I will sort it out. If you are not happy with how I have handled it, you can complain to the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
